A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation:
In Fall 2022, CCU began participating in a New Faculty/Staff Expo. This event provided all new faculty and staff the opportunity to learn about various CCU departments & services on campus. Sustain Coastal participated in the EXPO, educating new faculty/staff about sustainability at CCU and highlighting opportunities for collaboration. All new faculty and staff were offered outreach materials (see attached) and a sustainability kit, which includes reusable containers and cutlery to use at CCU dining halls.
Prior to COVID, at the beginning of each academic year, Sustain Coastal presented to all new academic staff about campus sustainability, recycling, transportation, presentation opportunities, campus dining, ways to engage with Sustain Coastal.
