The US Department of Education offers several need-based aid opportunities for low-income students (Pell grant, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG), Federal Work Study (FWS), and Direct Subsidized Loans. CCU also offers need-based institutional awards to incoming students. The CCU Coastal Educational Foundation, the Horry County Higher Education Committee, and other external organizations also offer a variety of scholarships for low-income students. Non-traditional students are also welcome to apply for these awards.
