Coastal Carolina University is proud to be recognized as a silver status campus from the Exercise is Medicine on Campus initiative (EIM-OC) through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). The EIM-OC prompts universities to promote physical activity as a vital sign of health as well as encourages students, faculty, and staff to work together to improve the health and well-being of the campus community. It aims to make movement a larger part of daily campus culture and provide the campus community with the necessary tools to strengthen physical activity habits. In doing so, we further the campus culture of wellness. This initiative is a collaborative one between multiple departments on campus, including the Department of Kinesiology, the LiveWell Office, University Recreation and Student Health Services.
