A brief description of the cultural competence trainings and activities:

The Division of Institutional Diversity engages the campus
community in Diversity Training and Education programs through workshops and forums and is a resource for the surrounding
community.

The Diversity Training and Education Program provides
opportunities for students, faculty and staff to develop culturalcompetency. Grounded in the theory of diversity management, the Diversity Training and Education Program is also a resource for supporting discipline-specific development of cultural competency.

Develop Cultural Competency — Engage in a systematic process
of diversity education to communicate effectively across cultures and navigate an increasingly complex and diverse world.

Build Campus Community — Foster interaction across, among
and between culturally, ethnically and racially diverse groups.
