A brief description of how the institution ensures compliance with green building design and construction guidelines and policies:
The University has established policies for all new construction to be LEED certified. One building has earned that distinction and two are awaiting it. Renovations or projects that may not normally be considered for certification under the USGBC's LEED Rating System regularly incorporate green building design principles. These principles are identified in our master plan policy.
