The total number of employees that conduct research was determined from an annual disclosures from July 1, 2023 to present, where 1274 individuals responded yes to being engaged in research.


When submitting a research proposal, individuals must choose a focus area from Clemson's strategic plan. Consequently, all research identified as sustainability-focused were included in this inventory.
