A brief description of the methodology used to track and calculate the number of recordable incidents of work-related injury or ill health :
All workplace injuries and illnesses are documented through an online report form which houses the data in Maxient. Human Resources, who manages worker's compensation claims for the University, then logs the data into Cinch (online injury reporting for PMA, the WC carrier for Clarkson University). After reporting the incident to PMA, an OSHA log is used to track all incidents. The OSHA log defines which incidents are recordable based on the Guide to OSHA Recordable Injuries and Illnesses.
