Name or title of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome:
Clarkson students create KLAW Industries with support of Clarkson Shipley Center

A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome that outlines how credit criteria are met and any positive measurable outcomes associated with the innovation:

While attending Clarkson University, two Clarkson University students and a Binghamton University student created a company that developed Pantheon™ which "is a partial replacement for cement in concrete derived from glass that uses recycled glass" (per KLAW Industries website). This process increases material use circularity and greatly decreases greenhouse gas emissions compared to conventional cement. Clarkson’s Shipley Center for Innovation is credited by the co-founders as one of the two organizations for helping their company get started and succeed by helping provide resources, support and funding. In 2021, KLAW Industries won the Startups award at Clarkson University's Technology Showcase and Competition.
