A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation :
During orientation, students are also given a campus tour that includes some sustainability efforts on campus. The Office of Student Life has worked with the Sustainability office to integrate sustainability into the orientation handbook. Sustainability on campus is also represented in other orientation activities such as an open house / fair type of event where new students can learn about resources on campus. There is also food waste collection at almost all events in which the ISE helps educate students about food waste and how to separate it. For both graduate students and transfer students in the spring, the ISE provides a brief orientation and introduction to sustainability at Clarkson.
