A brief description of the institution's indoor air quality plan, policy, and/or practices:
Efforts are first made to prevent indoor air quality problems through proper ventilation, low VOC materials and a no-smoking policy. The campus Environmental Health & Safety Officer in conjunction with the Director of the Facilities & Services Department are the contact people for all campus IAQ complaints. They will schedule meetings with building occupants and will hire an environmental testing company to perform air quality testing of the affected spaces and put together a report on the IAQ conditions based on the tests performed and observed. The campus Environmental Health & Safety Officer in conjunction with the Director of the Facilities & Services Department will form and implement a plan of corrective action. Further air testing will be done once the corrective plan has been fully implemented to check and verify the results of the corrective plan. A follow up meeting will be held to discuss the results of the corrective plan and the follow up air testing.
