All students must take at least one class in each of 6 knowledge areas. Two of these knowledge areas have learning outcomes that explicitly refer to sustainability principles. Science, Technology and Society classes need to "Analyze relationships among science, technology, and the health and welfare of humans and sustainability of the environment." Economics and Organizations Knowledge classes require students to "Analyze the allocation of resources for production and consumption and the implications for local and global development, sustainable growth, and the environment."
