A brief description of the policies and/or guidelines to improve outdoor air quality and minimize air pollutant emissions from mobile sources:
No idling policy in place, including signs at loading docks. Campus police are supplied with bicycles and trained in how to use them to replace cruisers in the warmer months. Electric vehicles are being phased in as campus fleet is updated, including golf carts for trades and electric trucks for services. Mail is hand-delivered across campus. Vendors are asked to park and carry rather than idle when they have multiple deliveries.
