Christopher Newport University's housekeeping duties include three groups for E&G buildings, Auxiliary, and Housing. All E&G buildings are operated in alignment with the above green cleaning policy and the breakdown of buildings can be found here.
We utilize Spartan Chemicals that has a strong focus on sustainability to include products with the Green Seal and EPA Safer Choice Certifications.
CNU utilizes a sustainable product line from Spartan titled Clean on the Go, with the following products:

- Clean by Peroxy 15; Multi Purpose Cleaners (482002)

Data from energy meters across campus is tracked and analyzed. It is compared against historic data and normalized for billing cycle and weather conditions. Anomalies are investigated through trended points in the building automation system and inquiries about deviations from normal occupancy or use. Any mechanical issues are sent to maintenance to be addressed.
