In accordance with our institutional mission of sustainability, Information Technology has committed to purchasing EPEAT-listed products whenever possible.


A brief description of steps the institution has taken to ensure that the purchasing policy, directives, or guidelines are followed:

The Sustainability Director met with Chatham's CIO and reviewed the EPEAT program, showing them how to search the ratings. IT used the EPEAT list to refine their electronics choices. We are committed to purchasing Mac Laptops for first year students, so it was a positive step for our university's sustainability commitments now that Apple is a participant in EPEAT.
