A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation:
As part of every new employee orientation, the Sustainability Director explains Chatham's sustainability initiatives in order to familiarize the new employees about sustainable practices and also to make certain that they understand the sustainability expectations for employees. New employees are given information about our carbon elimination goals, given an introduction to the green technology on campus, introduced to initiatives such as the bike commuter credit, bike rental and carshare options, bottled water and dining campaigns, recruited to join Climate Committee, and given information about how to work with the Office of Sustainability to incorporate initiatives into the classroom.
