A brief description of the student group:
Healthy Environments and Living Spaces (HEALS) aims to provide an open group for students interested in our environment. HEALS members will be committed to engaging in service activities including restoration projects, beach clean-ups, nature appreciation activities, and other environmental trips that might be beneficial. HEALS will also work on campus to raise awareness and help create a greener Chapman while at the same time collaborating with Student Sustainability Initiative (SSI) who will be working for many of the same goals. Goals: 1. To provide an open group for any and all Chapman students who are interested in participating in environmental service trips and creating a greener Chapman 2. To encourage Chapman students to get involved with nature restoration trips and other services such as beach clean-ups and invasive species removals. 3. To provide an opportunity for Chapman students to appreciate the environment by organizing and facilitating activities such as hikes and nature walks. 4. To raise overall environmental awareness both on campus and in the Orange community.
