Wellness and well-being are top priorities at Champlain College. Health & Wellness Center - The Student Health Center is staffed by Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, and a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. We work with all current Champlain College undergraduate and international students to meet their specific health care needs through preventative, diagnostic, therapeutic, and rehabilitative care. https://www.champlain.edu/student-affairs-diversity-and-inclusion/wellness-and-well-being/student-health-center
Counseling Center - Our services include individual and group counseling, psychiatric medication management and referrals, crisis services, and wellness programming. Student Care and Response Team: The Student Care & Response Team is a multidisciplinary team that meets regularly to evaluate behaviors by college students that are perceived to be threatening, harming or disruptive to the student, to others or to both and coordinate an appropriate response. The Student Care & Response Team does not respond directly to emergencies. JED campus: Champlain College has partnered with JED Campus to Support Student Mental Health. As a member of JED Campus, Champlain College is demonstrating its commitment to the emotional well-being of our students. The Green Mountain Higher Education Consortium (GMHEC) and its member colleges of Champlain College, Middlebury, Saint Michael’s College, along with Norwich University, recognizes the benefits of creating cultures of positive health and well-being. Our goals include: 1) Foster an environment that makes the healthy choice the easy choice; 2) Foster an inclusive and engaging culture of wellbeing that enables employees to bring their best self to work and life every day; 3) Educate and empower employees to effectively manage and utilize the health care system. Invest EAP: Our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) offers free, confidential, and comprehensive solutions for today's personal and work challenges. Champlain College's EAP - Invest EAP - may be accessed by phone or web, 24/7. The service provides information, counseling, and referrals for matters related to work, family, health, or any issues that are important to you and your family.
