Has the institution conducted a survey or other evaluation that allows for anonymous feedback to measure employee satisfaction and engagement during the previous three years?:
Yes

Percentage of employees (staff and faculty) assessed, directly or by representative sample (0-100):
100

A brief description of the institution’s methodology for evaluating employee satisfaction and engagement:

 The survey was announced via an email notification, through employee groups, and included in Central Today. The survey was open February 12, through February 22, 2019.
 There was a 12% increase in participation in the 2019 survey from the 2016 survey from 653 to 734 individuals. Of our approximate total population of 1500, this is a participation rate of less than 50%. A comparison of the two surveys showed a change in rates of participation with faculty increasing from 23% to 32%, exempt dropping slightly from 30% to 28% participation, and civil service participation dropping more significantly from 43% to 35%.

A brief description of the mechanism(s) by which the institution addresses issues raised by the evaluation (including examples from the previous three years):

 Survey results are provided to various groups (President’s Cabinet, Equal Opportunity Committee, directors for each division). Groups are asked to discuss and provide suggestions to be implemented. Vice-Presidents and their directors are encouraged to initiate strategies for each division.
 President has setup a committee to increase engagement. This group includes VP for Diversity and Inclusivity, VP for University Relations, and Executive Director of Human Resources). Strategies will be identified, announced in October 2019, and included in the new performance management cycle for each employee and supervisor.
