The Newark Campus (The Ohio State University at Newark and Central Ohio Technical College) uses a waste management vendor that employs single-stream recycling. The campus Information and Technology Services (ITS) department also has an equipment disposal plan which may be read about in Operations credit number 20. While the specific or total weight of objects are not currently stored, any old furniture/equipment items are 1) re-purposed, 2) sold, 3) donated to other non-profit entities, or 4) recycled. Only after all other options are exhausted will old furniture/equipment be taken to the landfill.
