A brief description of the sustainable food and beverage purchasing program:
Newark Campus dining services purchases from local vendors within a 250 mile radius. Crimson Cup Coffee, while they import their coffee beans, roast the beans in Columbus, OH and process them locally, and, Roth Produce, also in Columbus, supplies 90% of the fresh produce and 50% of the dairy products consumed on campus. Potato chips and pretzels are supplied by Ballreich's, a Tiffin, Ohio based company that produces 100% of their products in Ohio and grows 50% of their potatoes locally.
