A brief description of how the institution ensures compliance with sustainable building operation and maintenance guidelines and policies:
Central Ohio Technical College and the Ohio State University at Newark are structured in a way in which facilities and grounds are cost-shared and are operated on behalf of both institutions. The Ohio State University issued Green Build & Energy Policy #3.10 (rev. 8/22/2012) to which Superintendent Boehmer indicated the institutions subscribe. In addition, the Newark Campus Framework Plan (June 2012), was adopted and guides campus building and operations with consideration to the impact on the surrounding community, energy and water consumption, and indoor environmental quality.
