2019 Update:
The Campus Living Lab & Sustainability Project Manager is currently updating the CNM Environment and Climate Neutrality Plan (link below). There are guidelines/goals for every department aimed at reducing our impact on the environment. The strategic direction mentioned below is also ongoing; increasing sustainability in the curriculum is an institutional effort.
2016: CNM Strategic vision is Changing Lives and Building Community. Through sustainability efforts CNM can build community.

CNM has one year (starting fall 2016) to fully develop a curriculum for the Green Certification program. Using the DACUM curriculum building methodology http://www.dacum.org/ CNM has invited several community stakeholders to the table for this research and review process. There will be a two day workshop devoted to this on November 9 and 10, 2016. Molly Blumhoefer, CNM's Campus as a Living Lab & Sustainability Project manager is the representative from facilities who will be at the table for the 2 day workshop.

Summary of Goals
To retain a leadership role in climate change and energy use and develop a guideline for reducing
emissions which is as follows: 2000 levels by 2015, 1990 levels by 2020 and climate neutral by 2025 [currently undergoing revisions].
