Total percentage of students (graduate and undergraduate) that use more sustainable commuting options as their primary means of transportation:
27

A brief description of the method(s) used to gather data about student commuting, including the timeframe for when the analysis was conducted and how a representative sample was reached, if applicable:
2019 Chris Cavazos and Nicole Romero assisted in getting the # of bus passes for students, faculty and staff. There is no way to separate the data for each category, so I will report them all here and disregard OP-17 by "not pursuing". The total number of bus passes distributed for FY 2017-2018 is 4356. Vaughn Carty (Zagster PACE Bike Share) assisted with getting the annual bike share data. The total number of people that have accessed the bikes for the bike share stations are 47 (has only been a few months since bikeshare has been implemented, so represents one semester). Therefore the total (on record) number of students/staff/faculty using alternative transportation is 4,356. However, this does NOT include those who carpool, shuttle or ride their personal bicycles. Therefore this figure is probably significantly higher. Using the same approach as used in 2016, we take total FTE students = 14,813 FTE LESS of the FTE (exclusively) online students (1121)= (14,813-1121)= 14807 then add FTE faculty and staff=1412 4356/16219= 26.8%
