A brief description of on-site renewable electricity generating devices :
2019 Update:
CNM has entered into a contract with Affordable Solar Inc. for a 1.3 MW Solar Facility at West-side Campus that should be complete by Spring 2020.
Gas that was consumed by Smith Brasher prior to Ground Source Heat=3,348 MMbtu (2014 calendar year). This facility no longer consumes any gas to electrify the building.
Solar produced on site in 2017-2018 FY=1038 MMbtu.
3,348+1038 = 4,386 MMbtu.
2014> We have 3 buildings on campus: Rio Rancho, West Side 1 and Ken Chappy that utilize on-site solar photo-voltaic systems for a part of their energy source (reported by Luis Campos).
