A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation (including how multiple dimensions of sustainability are addressed):
100% of Faculty and Staff attend New Employee Orientation at CNM.
Central New Mexico Community College (CNM) offers a three phased approach to orienting new employees to the CNM culture. The goals to orient a new employee at CNM include: 1) provide new employees with the essentials to do their job; 2) alleviate new job apprehension; 3) increase morale; 4) increase productivity; and 5) increase retention.
"SUSTAINABILITY at CNM" is a part of NEO Phase III. CNM's Campus Living Lab & Sustainability Project Manager hosts a 15 min session once a month, with every single new employee, over the college's overarching sustainable goals and programs. This session includes how each individual can assist with goals within all 3 pillars of sustainability and further, how they may engage in various programs from various positions at the college.
