A brief description of the method(s) used to gather data about student commuting:
Rudy Garcia provided total student bus pass information for 2015 academic year, which was 5787. We took total number of CNM students (26,771) minus FTE of online students (3457) = 23314 students commuting. 5787/23314= 24.8%.
Several students also use bicycles, mopeds and other modes of transportation, but this has not been tracked.
