CNM as an opens admissons college does not discriminate on the basis of academic or college readiness. The college provides a wide variety of educational opportunites to meet the various academic and educational needs of our students. The options include Adult Basic Education English as a Second Language, Non-Credit Options, Credit Options and workforce training. New Faculty Institute: The NFI is designed to orientate Facuty and Staff on diversity of the students at CNM.

CNM participates in partnership with LULAC to prepare economically and academically disadvantaged students transition to Higher Education. Students are introduced to the college experience through courses offered on the college campus, plus students visit various 2 and 4 year institutions.

All parents are invited to participate in the New Student Orientation with parents participating in break out sessions.

CNM has an non discriminatory admissions process, "open admissions". There is an Admissions Free application.

CNM also makes avialaible admissions to low income highschool students through our Dual Credit program. The Program allows High Schools Students opportuntiy to enroll in College Level Courses tution free and books paid by the participating local high school.

The college makes avialable all federal and state financial aid to full and part-time students who qualify. The include grants, loans and college workstudy.

The Legislative and Advantage scholarships are eligible to receive scholarships as part-time, three quarter time. In addition, CNM Foundation Scholarships are made available for part-time students.

CNM has a 30 year partnership with the City of Albuquerque and the Community to provide childcare to CNM students on a sliding scale. For those students who can not affort childcare, the college also provides childcare scholarships to assist those student who are economically disadvantaged.
