We have a student government that is not a traditional SGA model but rather an Executive Council of Students that can, if they choose, serve on campus teams and committees and can request meetings with upper administration and expect to be met with.

It is difficult to say in many of these areas that student have a formal role. The Executive Council of Students has access to the strategic planning process in regards to projects similar to individual departments, though generally a sponsor is expected. they are asked to serve on individual campus councils and have the option, not currently exercised, to sit ex officio on the faculty senate and have seats on Publication Board.

The Office of Planning & Institutional Effectiveness (Julie Ann Ziter) would be a better source than I for information about formal participation in institutional governance by faculty and staff than I ( http://www.cnm.edu/depts/planning/planning ). My primary area of knowledge on this form is student leadership and participation.
