Does the institution's GHG emissions inventory include all Scope 3 GHG emissions from any of the following categories?:
Yes or No | |
Business travel | Yes |
Commuting | No |
Purchased goods and services | No |
Capital goods | Yes |

Does the institution's GHG emissions inventory include Scope 3 emissions from other categories?:
Yes
None
A brief description of the methodology and/or tool used to complete the GHG emissions inventory:
Baseline is 2008, not 20005. CNM's inventory was conducted primarily by Physical Plant staff using an operational control approach. The emissions were measured using the Clean Air Cool Planet software because it was recommended by the American College & University Presidents' Climate Commitment and for its ease of use. The CA-CP Campus Carbon Climate Calculator's default emissions coefficient was used.
None
Has the GHG emissions inventory been validated internally by personnel who are independent of the GHG accounting and reporting process and/or verified by an independent, external third party?:
Yes
None
A brief description of the internal and/or external verification process:
Data was collected by the various areas within the Physical Plant to determine the data that was inputted in the calculator. The information was then reviewed by the CNM sustainability task team to review and confirmed information. In 2008 this information was being tracked in more systematic approach so that the information can be better measured.
