AASHE reserves the right to withhold points for this credit if it is determined that the assurance process was clearly unsuccessful in identifying and resolving inconsistencies or errors (e.g., when AASHE staff identify a significant number of issues that were either not mentioned in the completed review template or not resolved successfully).

A brief description of the institution’s assurance process:
The internal review was completed by Dr. Matthew Liesch. The document was filled out with extensive in-person discussion about STARS data quality during 2023. Dr. Liesch met with persons who complied the data to address inconsistencies and improve the reports. The external review involved assigned credits the MSU review team to review from the draft report. Credits that did not initially meet criteria went through second, and if necessary, third rounds of review until issues were corrected. The team held weekly check-in calls as needed throughout the review process. The reviewers utilized one review template document during the process to avoid potential issues with multiple files. The second and third level rounds of review are documented in the uploaded spreadsheet. The MSU team reached out to AASHE as necessary for clarification to ensure the CMU responses were meeting the intent of a given credit.
