A list of the institution level sustainability learning outcomes:
The Central Michigan University general education requirements consist of math, english, and communication competencies as well as the University Program. The University Program has four sub-categories which include humanities, natural sciences, social sciences, and studies in culture and diversity. All classes which satisfy the natural sciences component are either sustainability focused, or have a sustainability focused learning outcome. These include introductory anthropology, biology, chemistry, physics, astronomy, geology, and geography courses. In addition, students are able to explore cultural and social sustainability through several courses which satisfy the culture and diversity category. The University Program is required for all CMU students.
