Central Michigan University is an affirmative action/equal opportunity institution. It is committed to protecting the constitutional and statutory civil rights of persons connected with the university. Students: The Pathways program at Central Michigan University, features a mentoring program for low-income and first generation college students from all over the state. "Once students are accepted into the program they are paired with a faculty/staff mentor who is dedicated to supporting them. The mentor guides them through their college career and connects them with resources."
