A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation :
Each new student is offered the ability to become involved with the Environmental Sustainability Office through Students 4 Sustainability club and eBadges. The latter program allows students to gain recognition for applied learning outside of the classroom, while the former provides students support and wherewithal to advance projects in STEM. The additional accolades can be shared on their transcripts or any other digital portfolio, allowing students to bolster their traditional class work with real-world experience. Furthermore, students are familiarized with the college’s recycling programs, gardens, and innovative project opportunities each semester during Welcome Week Student Orientation Fair.
