Central Community College began participating in the Monarch Watch program, collecting data to track Monarch butterfly migratory routes. Select employees and students were able to assist in raising captive specimens and collecting wild-caught butterflies. Data was relayed to the University of Kansas after healthy specimens were tagged and released.
