Energy Technology program

In the Fall of 2019 a new Energy Technology academic program was approved with strong support from the Environmental Sustainability office Director- Ben Newton in helping provide curriculum development to include a battery storage component to renewable energy. One of the first 2 year institutions in the United States to include battery storage and nationally certified wind tower climbing training.

As the demand for renewable energy grows, so does the need for those trained to maintain those systems. Students in the Energy Technology program will be highly trained in how to design, maintain and repair the instruments used to harness wind and solar power and battery storage.
