CCC and the Central District Health Department collaborate on walking and biking events and city planning. This is an ongoing partnership where CCC and the health department collaborate on multiple committees to develop a complete streets policy and to promote walking and biking. CCC has had students from underrepresented groups meet with the committee to provide feedback, and CCC has provided funds to improve signage on walking and biking trails. The goal of the committees is to provide all citizens a safe option to walk and bike to locations in town as not everyone can afford a car, and to reduce the number of vehicles on the road and thus reduce vehicle emissions.
