A brief description of the institution’s wellness and/or employee assistance program(s):
The State Health Plan for Teachers and State Employees is committed to helping members get healthy and stay healthy. The goals for the Comprehensive Wellness Initiative (CWI) include:
■Helping members and their families succeed in reaching optimal health
■Improve members’ health status so that the Plan is strengthened long-term
■Control out of pocket costs for all Plan members.
The plan offers wellness coaching in chronic disease management, weight loss, tobacco use cessation and more. Health coaches are available both online and on the phone for assistance.
