A brief description of the methodology and/or tool used to complete the GHG emissions inventory:
Campus Carbon Calculator emissions inventory tool. At the time managed by the National Wildlife Federation.. Clean Air Cool Planet’s Campus Carbon Calculator was used to collect and calculate the data. Measurements were reported in metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent (eCO2) released.

A brief description of when and why the GHG emissions baseline was adopted:
In order to address the major issue of climate change, Central Carolina Community College (CCCC) joined with hundreds of other institutions of higher education by signing the American College and University President’s Climate Commitment (ACUPCC) in 2010. An inventory of CCCC’s greenhouse gas emissions has been conducted as part of the college’s commitment to reducing GHG emissions.
CCCC has reported Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions data to the ACUPCC for the academic years ending in 2009, 2010, and 2011.
