A brief description of the institution’s sustainability partnerships with the local community:
CCCC collaborates with many community partners to advance sustainability initiatives in the community. CCCC recently collaborated with the Workforce Investement Act office and Chatham County Together to hold a week-long camp for at risk youth and their mentors. These high schools students were introduced to sustainability concepts in agriculture, food systems, green building and renewable energy. Additionally, CCCC works with local school districts hosting information sessions for middle school students, guidance counselors, faculty and staff to demonstrate sustainable technology training on campus.
