Data source(s) and notes about the submission:
While CCCC has not conducted a survey, the minimum salary and adjoining benefits do match the base salary recognized in the Economic Policy Institute's recommended salary for our region. This resource was listed in the STARS manual as a resource to determine fair wages.
http://www.epi.org/content/budget_calculator/?family_type=2P2C&state=NC&area_name=Fayetteville%2C+NC+HUD+Metro+FMR+Area
The income necessary for a two parent (two full time wage earners) two child family is listed as an annual total $44394. The minimum wage at CCCC does meet half of the salary required for a family of four. This resource was the basis for our reasoning in requesting this credit.
CCCC employs 373 full time staff, part time staff may or may not have the same pay grade. However the 366 adjunct faculty earn a minimum of 24$ per hour many earning much more per hour.
