A brief description of the institution’s programs that help increase the diversity of higher education faculty :
CCCC supports future faculty by providing tuition reimbursement available to all College employees (who are working in budgeted positions--30 hrs or more per week and receiving state benefits). This reimbursement is of course provided to current employees.However, fuding allows non-teaching staff to become credentialed for teaching positions.
CCCC administers Perkins Funding (federal funding) for student support--for students in nontraditional vocational/technical programs of study--this focuses on gender.
Program Description
Tuition, books, tools, childcare, supplies, and transportation will be provided to students training in nontraditional vocational/technical programs of study. This financial assistance will be part of a broader effort to address the needs of special populations. Each recipient receives individual counseling, career guidance, and participates in workshops to insure his/her success.
