A brief description of the institution’s methodology for evaluating employee satisfaction and engagement:
The College collected responses for an employee satisfaction survey in early February, 2023. The survey, sent to all 296 full- and part-time faculty and staff, contained fourteen scaled and two free-response questions.
In general, respondents were asks to evaluate their level of agreement with statements about employee satisfaction and wellness. Responses ranged from 1 to 5. (1: Strongly Disagree, 2: Disagree Somewhat, 3: Neutral, 4: Agree Somewhat, 5: Strongly Agree).
The College monitored the distribution of respondents to ensure a representative sample was gathered. Of the 104 respondents (35% of all employees), the sampled group reflected a 63.2%-36.8% staff-faculty split, which is roughly in line with the ratio between faculty and staff employed (60% staff, 40% faculty). A summary of responses is attached.
