Signage
Yes
A brief description of the signage that highlights sustainability features on campus:
The College has signage in the lobbies of the nine campus buildings that host photovoltaic and solar thermal installations. These signs show pictures of the rooftop solar installations and describe the College's renewable energy programs. An attached copy of each posted sign is included in the Points of Distinction, PRE-2, section.
The Center for the Environment building is decorated with information about various past campaigns to save water, manage sustainable interactions with the Fred Stanback, Jr. Ecological Preserve, and describe the ways in which the Center itself was constructed with sustainable design in mind before the prevalence of sustainable design programs like Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED).
The College has 20,000 square feet of LEED-certified dorms that were constructed in 2009. A recognition plaque from that construction is affixed to the wall in the College's Hurley Room, a central meeting space within the Cannon Student Center.
