A brief description of the student sustainability research program:
The Catawba College Center for the Environment provides up to four grants of up to $2,000 each annually to support student or faculty research that is directly linked to at least one of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
In addition, the James M. Beard Student Science Travel Award is awarded to certain students conducting mentored research in the disciplines of Environment & Sustainability, Biology, or Chemistry. The Award includes funding up to $500 to cover travel costs for students to present research at an academic conference.
