Yes, CWRU committed to divestment from all public and private energy holdings. The Pooled Endowment is prohibited from making any new investments in any company or fund whose primary business is in the exploration or extraction of fossil fuels, including all forms of coal, oil or natural gas. CWRU will roll off all public and private investments in fossil fuel as soon as it is prudent and financially responsible. Although the stated goal is for the Pooled Endowment to achieve full elimination of fossil fuels, some commingled investments/indices may contain immaterial amounts of fossil fuel exposure. The investment staff will prudently evaluate these managers/funds on a case-by-case basis.
