CWRU Annual Food Week

A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome that outlines how credit criteria are met and any positive measurable outcomes associated with the innovation:

Food Week is now an annual event during Spring Semester at CWRU. This learning celebration of food was jointly organized by food-related student groups including the Food Recovery Network, CWRU's Slow Food chapter, CWRU's Food Law & Policy Society, Advocates for Cleveland Health as well as the Undergraduate Student Government. During the week, a prominent keynote speaker on global food systems research has been held annually. Other events have included a local food market, show cases of student food groups, movie screenings, and the campus community was encouraged to dine at a local eatery, with 20% of its profits donated to the Cleveland Food Bank. Food Week was started in 2016 and was held also in 2017 with 2018 being hosted at the end of March, with the keynote provide by Marion Nestle.
