CWRU just received Tree Campus USA designation in January 2018 in an effort led by Student Ambassadors working as interns for the Sustainability Office. The students and a new campus tree committee created a new tree stewardship plan and are participating in a new City of Cleveland Tree Plan to plant 50,000 new trees by 2020. The Nord Family Greenway (Innovation A) is a large contribution to the health of our neighborhood's tree canopy.
