Student sustainability research incentives 

Does the institution have an ongoing program to encourage students in multiple disciplines or academic programs to conduct sustainability research?:
Yes

A brief description of the student sustainability research program:
Students receive credit toward their degrees for completing internships and/or capstone projects in sustainability.
The campus has two research projects/initiatives:
King County Waterworks grant funding project: Student Led Implementations for Stormwater Management
This project trains students to sample stormwater in the field and lab for toxins, pollutants, and bacteria. Students gather data and perform tests for water quality analysis.

CCUWBee Research Initiative is a cross campus pollinator research group. Students are trained to observe and collect data on native and non-native bee species and morphogroups on campus as they visit pollinating plants. Students learn bee species, plant species, and participate in research analyzing bee behavior and presence on campus.

A brief description of the institution’s library support for sustainability research:
All departments have an assigned librarian to provide specific support related to that topic. The librarian assigned to support sustainability students, faculty and staff is Penelope Wood. https://guides.lib.uw.edu/bothell/sustainability

The library also runs yearly events focused on social justice and sustainability called "Community Reads", engaging students, staff, and faculty to engage in discussion and reading on these topics. 2020-2021's focus is environmental justice. https://guides.lib.uw.edu/bothell/communityreads
