A brief description of the employee educators program (1st program):
The Scotty Goes Green (SGG) certification programs provide the CMU community with resources and guidance on making sustainable choices and taking sustainable actions.
Reasons to participate:
- Learn about campus sustainability resources
- Gain tools to educate your coworkers, colleagues, classmates, roommates, and more about sustainability
- Connect with others on campus working toward a more sustainable future
- Earn recognition and bragging rights
- Share best practices
The Scotty Goes Green (SGG) Workplace Certification program is a voluntary, self-guided review of office practices and employee behaviors as well as an opportunity to learn more about sustainability. We aim to establish a network of sustainability-literate employees to serve as leaders and to educate their peers on campus resources and practices while increasing campus sustainability practices.
Each cetified workplace has a designated SGG Rep who has reviewed the Certification Guide and serves as a resource for their workplace to continue and expand sustainable practices.
