A brief description of the institution’s programs that help increase the diversity of higher education faculty :
Carnegie Mellon does have support programs for students from underrepresented groups and also provide some financial support. In addition to Women in SCS, Women in ECE and INI, and Women in Tepper, there are also programs to support : Graduate Women’s Gatherings and Student of Color programming. We also support student organizations for underrepresented students as well, such as the Black Graduate Student Organization, the Latino Graduate Student Association and the Asian Pacific Islander Graduate Student Caucus. Many of these have some segment - a workshop or external seminars - to support students to consider faculty positions.
Other programs and services and other partnerships can be found on the web site.
